If you choose the next-day result option, we will perform the test on the same day and report the results the following day.

○Domestic laboratory facilities available
Hiro Clinic has a domestic laboratory in a Group company, which reduces the time taken to transport the products abroad.
○Up to 140 specimens can be tested per day
The laboratory uses three next-generation sequencers and tests up to 140 specimens per day (Illumina testing).
In addition, Medicover tests can furthermore be performed on approximately 100 samples per day.
○Rapid transport system
From the clinic, we use motorbike and airmail services to send the mail quickly.
○Fast and accurate automated pipetting machines improve work efficiency
The use of automated pipetting machines significantly reduces manual work.

Period of time until test results are available
The average result reporting time for the F plan, G plan, and B plan is around 5 days.
The average result reporting time for the FM plan, GM plan, BM plan, AM plan, Oms plan, Om plan, Hms plan, Hm plan, A plan, O plan, and H plan is around 10 days.
※The reporting time may vary depending on the test items and the number of samples.
※In order to keep prices low, multiple samples are tested in batches. The number of days is calculated as if the sample arrived at the laboratory on day 0.

About the ultrasonographic examination
The following clinics have obstetricians and gynaecologists on staff and can provide
transvaginal ultrasound (transvaginal ultrasound) and abdominal ultrasound (abdominal
ultrasound) prior to the NIPT examination. ( Examination fee: 10,000 yen (11,000 yen incl.
tax))

About the positive score
A Positive Score Report is attached, which provides a combination of positive scores and positive predictive values from over 40,000 NIPT results※ performed to date at Hiro Clinic NIPT.
This will help you to make a decision if you have a positive NIPT.
However, the Positive Score Report is not included for tests taken at less than 10 weeks; it is only included for tests taken after 10 weeks, when the results are positive for chromosome 21 trisomy, chromosome 18 trisomy and chromosome 13 trisomy.

About amniotic fluid testing support
Hiro Clinic NIPT offers support for amniotic fluid testing organised by partner laboratories.
The fee is JPY 3,000 (excluding tax). By using this service, patients with a positive test result
can receive a subsidy of up to JPY 200,000, including tax, for the cost of the amniotic fluid
test. Payment for amniotic fluid testing support is made only once.
Please note that there are criteria for subsidising the cost of amniotic fluid testing.
※Not available for subscription if a stand-alone test is selected.
Amniotic fluid test cost assistance criteria
① For positive chromosomes 1-22 or sex chromosomes (all chromosomes), assistance is
available for G-band and qf-PCR tests.
② If all autosomal partial deletions and microdeletions are positive, G-band, qf-PCR and
microarray testing will be assisted.
About the medical examination by doctor
After the NIPT test, a doctor will provide a consultation for those who wish to have a medical
examination.
The consultation on the day of the NIPT test is included in the test fee, but a consultation fee
of JPY 4,000 (JPY 4,400 incl. tax) will be charged for consultations on days other than the
test day.
Please call if you wish to have a consultation. Depending on the schedule of the doctor in
charge, appointments will be made if possible.
About the cancellation of express delivery
There is no charge for cancellations up to two days before the appointment date of the visit.
Please note that if you cancel the ‘express service’ one day before or on the day of your visit
appointment, you will be charged the full amount.
Application for express delivery
- Express delivery is a method of delivering specimens to the laboratory by a combination of air and land transport.
Therefore, test results may not be returned in the number of express delivery days due to adverse weather conditions, disasters, social conditions or other reasons. - If the test results cannot be returned within 3 days counting from the date of blood collection as day 0, only the express delivery fee will be refunded. The clinic will pay the bank transfer fee. Please note that the test cannot be interrupted and the test fee cannot be refunded.
- Even if you apply in advance, we may refuse same-day express delivery.
- As soon as we know of a situation where we are unable to return the results in the number of express delivery days due to cancelled or cancelled flights, even just before the specimens are dispatched, we will inform you and refund your money.
