Natural Pro
The Natural Pro at Hiro Clinic is an advanced hair transplant technique that builds upon the well-known FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) method of hair restoration. This method offers two variations: the “Natural Pro Shave Method,” where the hair is trimmed short, and the “Natural Pro Non-Shave Method,” where the hair is not shaved.
Both techniques do not require the use of a scalpel; instead, a specialized punch tool is used to extract hair follicles with minimal discomfort and small post-surgical scars. The hair roots are taken from the back or sides of the scalp, areas less prone to thinning, and transplanted into the thinning areas. Since the procedure uses your own hair, the risk of rejection is low, and the hair is likely to settle in naturally, maintaining its original qualities and potentially continuing to grow for a lifetime. Additionally, since the hair grows gradually, the final result looks very natural.
Recommended for the following individuals:
- Those concerned about thinning hair
- Those struggling with the progression of AGA (Androgenetic Alopecia)
- Those who have not seen results from hair growth treatments
- Those worried about pain during the procedure
- Those who want to avoid noticeable scars
- Those seeking a natural-looking result
- Those who want to grow their own hair back

Procedure Flow
Step 1
Pre-Surgery Consultation
Please bring photos of your family members (father, mother, or any relatives with a history of hair loss). Also, let us know what kind of hairstyle you would like. The number of hair follicles required will differ depending on the area to be transplanted, so it is important to carefully examine the treatment area. We will measure the density of hair in the donor area.
Step 2
Scheduling Surgery and Blood Tests
On the day of the consultation, you will schedule the date for the actual surgery. Additionally, we will conduct a pre-surgery blood test.
Step 3
Harvesting Donor Hair Follicles
After local anesthesia, we will use a specialized tool about 1mm in diameter to extract hair follicles from the back or sides of the scalp, areas less prone to hair loss.
※In the Shaved method, we will trim the donor and recipient areas to about 1mm of hair.
In the Non-shave method, no shaving will be done.
Step 4
Transplanting the Harvested Grafts
The small scars from the donor area will heal naturally and will not be noticeable after about a week.
Pre-Surgery Instructions
- Please bring photos of your family members (father, mother, or any relatives with a history of hair loss).
- Be sure to wash your hair before coming to the clinic.
- Eat only until 9:00 PM on the night before the surgery.
- If you are taking anticoagulant medications, please consult with the doctor as special precautions may be necessary.
- Let the doctor know your desired hairstyle or provide a visual reference for your expectations.
Post-Surgery Instructions
Day of Surgery to Day 4
- Washing your hair on the day of the surgery is strictly prohibited. Starting the night after the procedure, lightly spray your hair with water, and after washing, dry it thoroughly with the cool air from a hairdryer.
- Avoid long baths or hot water immersion.
- For the first few days after surgery, avoid rubbing the transplanted area, as this can cause the grafts to be dislodged. Use a firm pillow instead of a soft one or feather pillow. If the transplant was done on the crown area, sleep with 2-3 towels rolled up under your neck or use a neck pillow.
- Refrain from consuming alcohol, and avoid exercise until day 4. Avoid smoking for three weeks after the surgery.
- Wigs can be worn from day 3-4 as long as no metal clips or tape come in direct contact with the transplanted area.
- You may wear a helmet from day 4 onward, as long as you place a bandana or towel on your head to protect the transplant area. Be careful that the helmet does not rub against the transplanted area.
Day 5 to Day 13 After Surgery
- From day 5 onward, light activities such as cycling or walking are fine. After day 7, you can resume normal activities like golf, but be cautious not to rub the transplanted area.
14 Days After Surgery and Beyond
- For the first week after surgery, the transplanted hair will continue to grow, but within 3 weeks, all the transplanted hair will shed.
- Around 3 to 4 months after the procedure, fine, light-colored hairs will begin to grow.
- Afterward, thicker, pigmented hair will start to grow, but it may take around 12 months for full results to be visible.
Explanation of the Techniques and Equipment Used
At Hiro Clinic, we use specialized equipment for the extraction of hair follicles from the donor area. The appropriate tools are selected based on the condition of the patient’s hair follicles to ensure the best results.

Medical Equipment for Hair Transplant Surgery
For the recipient area, we use an implanting device (implanter) to manually transplant each hair follicle one by one with precision.
