Tattoo Removal

Tattoos and art makeup are made by depositing pigments on the dermis layer using needles. In order to erase these, the pigment that has entered the dermis layer must be removed.

Tattoo removal can be done either by laser treatment to remove the color or by surgical removal. The laser is ideal if you want to lighten only the color without leaving scars. If you wish to remove the tattoo with a single treatment, even if it leaves a scar, or if you have a tattoo with a color that is difficult to remove with a laser, the surgical removal method is the best choice.

Laser Treatment

It uses a type of laser that can reach shallow to deep areas and is considered the most suitable for tattoo removal available in the present day.

It works best on tattoos that are all black. It is also effective on other darker tones, such as brown and blue. Other colors are more difficult to remove and require a number of treatments. Red pigment in shallow areas may be removed after a number of treatments.

Yellow, orange, green, etc. are difficult to remove, and there may still be no difference even after several treatments. If such nest size remains, it may be removed eventually.

Some black, shallow areas can be treated with a single treatment, but usually, after waiting for the treated area to recover, multiple treatments are performed once every two to three months to gradually lighten the area. Some tattoos that have been dug by machine and are deeply pigmented may require more than 10 treatments. If the area of the tattoo is large, the treatment may be divided into several parts, which may require more treatments.

Flow of Laser Treatment

  • Anesthesia

Appropriate anesthesia methods such as topical anesthesia with anesthetic cream and other anesthetic methods are selected according to the conditions of the area to be treated./p>

  • Treatment

Treatment is performed with an appropriate wavelength and output.

  • Post-treatment progress

Immediately after laser treatment, the skin turns white (whitening phenomenon), and then a small amount of spot bleeding may appear from the irradiated area. A thin paper tape is applied to the treated area to protect the skin, and should not be forcibly removed until it peels off naturally.
If the tape comes off naturally, apply the spare tape provided. A scab will form and the burn will heal and be replaced with new skin in about two weeks.
Then, the protective tape will be removed.

The redness after the burn will disappear, and a brownish pigmentation will temporarily appear. The pigmentation will gradually fade and the skin will return to its original color. During this time, please avoid rubbing the treated area to speed up recovery as much as possible, and please continue to take extra UV care on the treated area.
Shallow tattoos with a good color reaction may be removed in one or two treatments, but depending on the color and depth of the tattoo, several or more treatments may be required before the tattoo disappears completely. Treatments are repeated at intervals of about 2 months until the pigmentation is removed and the skin returns to its original color.

Removal Treatment by Excision

For those that are difficult to treat depending on the color, or for those that seem to be cosmetically beautiful after excision, we recommend treatment by excision. In addition, even if a wound remains, excision treatment is the perfect choice if you want to make sure that there will be no traces of tattoo marks. It can also be used in combination with laser treatment.

The tattooing process involves damaging the skin with a needle, so even if the color disappears with laser treatment, the white scar from the tattooing process may still be visible. (This is often the case with machine tattooing.)

If such a result is expected, excision is more appropriate. The design of the excision is based on the shape, size, location, and allowance of the skin around the tattoo.

The flow of Tattoo Removal Treatment by Excision

  • Anesthesia

    Application of Topical anesthesia.

  • Excision

The design of the excision is determined based on the shape, size, location, and skin allowance of the tattoo, and then the tattoo is excised and sewed up.

  • Post-treatment progress

Stitches will be removed in about 1 to 2 weeks. Until then, please treat the wound as instructed. After the stitches are removed, the color of the scar will gradually fade over several months, leaving a white scar.
During this period, please avoid rubbing and maintain a good UV care.

Tattoo Removal Treatment

Q-switched YAG laser

This is the most effective laser treatment for reducing dark spots, birthmarks, and freckles.
The Q-switched YAG laser has an extremely short laser irradiation time (in billionths of a second), which means that heat is not transferred to the surrounding area and there is little damage to the surrounding normal tissue.
Two different wavelengths are available to effectively remove melanin present in shallow and deep areas.
