Affirm Multiplex

This treatment replaces old, damaged skin cells with new cells. Affirm” works on the surface skin problems such as pores, fine lines, and acne scars, and “Affirm Multiplex” has an additional laser that has a powerful lifting effect from deep within the skin by targeting the deep dermis layer. Its appeal is its ability to provide a total improvement from the shallow to the deep layers of the skin.

The 1440nm wavelength responds to the shallow areas of the skin, while the 1320nm responds to the deeper, more diminished dermal collagen to tighten it. The balanced fusion of the actions of these two wavelengths achieves an effect not seen with stand-alone 1440nm and 1320nm lasers.

The skin gradually becomes more firm after the treatment. The redness will gradually subside over the next few days. Makeup may be applied immediately after the treatment.

Affirm Multiplex

Features of Affirm Multiplex

Sequential laser irradiation is possible, with the laser replacing new cells in the shallow part of the skin and the other reaching deep into the skin to cause tightening. It is a fractional laser treatment with very little downtime, yet it can provide a total improvement from shallow to deep areas. It not only smooths and refines the surface of the skin, but also plumps, lifts, and tightens the skin from the depths.

The Affirm Multiplex is an excellent fractional laser machine in terms of its overall evaluation of skin rejuvenation plus sagging tightening effect, pain, and downtime.

Affirm Multiplex Treatment Flow

  • Counseling

The indication and extent of treatment will be determined after consulting with the patient.

  • Cleansing

If the treatment is to be done on the face, makeup should be removed.

  • Anesthesia

If anesthesia is requested, anesthesia is applied to the skin and allowed to penetrate for 40-50 minutes.

  • Irradiation

Affirm Multiplex is applied to the entire treatment area. (After irradiation, the active ingredients are then introduced into the treatment area, if desired.)

  • Cooling

Cooling and soothing of the skin are completed with the finishing touches of skincare.

Differences from other fractional lasers

Shorter downtime and less pain are the best. But, Only Affirm Multiplex can also improve sagging.

  • Traditional fractional lasers are associated with pain and downtime problems. Most fractional lasers cannot be performed without anesthesia, but the Affirm laser uses a special cooling system and a laser irradiation mechanism that minimizes pain and eliminates the need for anesthesia. The intensity of the laser is also lower than that of other laser systems to achieve the same effect of improving skin texture, which also contributes to the reduction of pain.

  • Compared to other models, the laser density is higher, and fewer overlapping irradiations are required to irradiate the same density than with other models. Affirm requires only one or two passes to complete irradiation (about 15 minutes per pass for the entire face). The fact that only a small number of irradiations are required is also responsible for the reduction of pain.

  • With other types of fractional lasers, the low density of the laser beam and the thickness of the line may cause dots of fine reddish or brownish color to appear after the laser irradiation, which may be noticeable.

  • Reactions such as peeling and flaking that often occur as a reaction to the fractional laser are quite minor and mild, so problems such as not being able to wear makeup at all or having trouble hiding the peeling skin are much less common than with other treatments.

Even those who refused other treatments because of pain or downtime can use Affirm treatment without worrying about pain or post-treatment reactions. Although the texture of the skin improves with a single treatment, more improvement can be expected with two or three treatments.

The greatest feature of Affirm Multiplex is that it can replace skin and tighten sagging skin in a single treatment. Three to six sessions of irradiation once a month will give you a highly effective result.

Affirm Multiplex” is the next generation of “Affirm” and irradiates two types of lasers with different depths to improve skin problems such as acne scars and fine lines and wrinkles as well as to produce a deepening and tightening effect. Another major advantage is that it is equipped with a cooling system, and pain and redness are very mild compared to other models. The laser emits 1,200 lasers per square centimeter, which is very thin and denser than other models, so fewer passes are needed for treatment, and treatment time is shorter.

Another major advantage of this treatment is that it can be performed without anesthesia. For those who want less pain or are concerned about the pain, anesthesia can be applied to alleviate a great deal of the pain. You can put on makeup immediately after irradiation and go home.
There may be some redness and burning for about two days, but most patients will be able to wear makeup to work even if some redness remains on the following day.
Also, the redness will completely subside with time, and the risk of pigmentation is very small, so you can rest assured. Of all the fractional lasers currently available, the Affirm Multiplex is the best fractional laser machine in terms of the overall evaluation of skin rejuvenation + sagging tightening effect, pain, and downtime.

Risks of Affirm Multiplex

The treatment is minimally painful, can be performed without anesthesia, and involves very little risk of redness, etc.

The wavelength of Affirm has a high absorption property in water, which is about 2.5 times higher than other wavelengths. This makes it easier for the skin to react to the treatment, and even low power settings are sufficient to achieve the desired effect. Also, the special lens irradiation produces a laser beam that is much finer and many times denser than that of other models, requiring only 1/4 to 1/5 of the number of passes in a single treatment. The laser is also equipped with an excellent cooling system, which emits the laser beam while cooling the treated area directly and firmly, which also reduces pain and risk.

These features make it less painful and minimize the risk of pigmentation. Anesthesia is not always required, which is another major difference from other fractional lasers.

How long does the treatment take?
The irradiation time is approximately 15 minutes for the entire face. If anesthesia is desired, an additional 40 minutes is required for the anesthesia procedure.
Can I undergo the treatment without anesthesia?
What about swelling and redness after treatment?
Is there a period of time when I should not wear makeup?
Is there anything I should not do in my day-to-day activities after the treatment?
Will my skin peel off?
About how long after the treatment will it take to show results?
How would you estimate the timeline for treatment?

Although the procedure can be performed without anesthesia, anesthesia can be applied to alleviate much of the pain for those who wish for less pain or are concerned about it. You can put on makeup and go home immediately after the treatment.
Redness and flakiness will occur after treatment. Most people will be able to wear makeup with good coverage on the day of treatment and the day after, and will be able to go to work without any problems. In order not to disturb the skin’s recovery, please avoid rubbing, moisturize and apply UV care.
The redness and flakiness usually subsides completely in about 4-5 days, and there is only a very small risk of hyperpigmentation./p>
