When vitamin C is injected into the body in high concentrations, it produces large amounts of hydrogen peroxide. Normal cells in the body have enzymes called catalase and glutathione that break down hydrogen peroxide, so they are harmless, but cancer cells do not have these enzymes, so they cannot break down hydrogen peroxide and die.
Because vitamin C kills only cancer cells without harming normal cells, it is being studied as an effective treatment for cancer.
Also, compared to oral vitamin C, IV infusion increases the blood concentration of vitamin C by 20 to 40 times or more, making it easier to distribute vitamin C to every corner of the body and making it highly effective for whitening and beautifying the skin.
High concentration vitamin C infusion treatment is not suitable for patients with low kidney function, poor nutritional status, dehydration, or those currently on dialysis.
Highly concentrated vitamin C treatment is also a cancer treatment that is receiving a lot of attention. This involves infusion of 50 to 150 grams of vitamin C, which kills only cancer cells without affecting normal cells through the production of hydrogen peroxide. With oral treatment, there is a limit to the amount of vitamin C that can be absorbed, and any excess is excreted in the urine. It has been discovered that this ultra-high concentration of vitamin C kills cancer cells and prevents infiltration and the spread of the disease.
In 2005, a joint study by the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the National Cancer Institute (NCI), and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced that highly-concentrated ascorbic acid (vitamin C) selectively acts as a toxin against cancer cells, and since then, about 10,000 physicians, naturopathic doctors, and integrative alternative medicine doctors have introduced it as a cancer treatment in the United States.
Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant when it oxidizes itself, but in doing so, it produces large amounts of hydrogen peroxide. When highly concentrated vitamin C is injected, normal cells are not harmed because they have the enzymes catalase and glutathione to break down hydrogen peroxide, but cancer cells do not have these enzymes, so they are unable to break down hydrogen peroxide and die. High concentrations of vitamin C produce the same effect on cancer cells as an “anti-cancer” drug.
The aforementioned publication verifies that vitamin C kills only cancer cells without harming normal cells and that the higher the vitamin C concentration, the greater the probability that the cancer cells will die.
Vitamin C has also been reported to have an inhibitory effect on cancer cell spread. Cancer cells produce a substance called hyaluronidase, which breaks down the surrounding hyaluronic acid, making the stromal matrix fragile and helping the cancer cells multiply and invade the surrounding tissue. Optimal doses (therapeutic levels) of vitamin C have been found to increase that hyaluronidase-inhibiting substance and prevent the breakdown of the interstitial matrix.
Vitamin C also promotes the release of procollagen, which is necessary for the formation of the extracellular matrix. This collagen barrier wraps around cancer cells, allowing them to inhibit growth and spread. Vitamin C has also been shown to be effective in the treatment of viral infections, as well as having antihistamine (suppresses itching), immunity-enhancing, and active oxygen-eliminating effects.
Depending on the stage and condition of cancer, a highly concentrated vitamin C solution containing 25 grams or more of vitamin C can be prepared, which is infused over approximately one hour. Initially, the patient will receive the infusion twice a week, and the treatment will be continued by checking the effect of the infusion and adjusting the dosage.
In the U.S., the efficacy of high-concentration vitamin C therapy in treating breast, prostate, rectum, lung, lymphoma, colon, pancreas, ovary, bladder, kidney, and uterus cancers has already been reported.
The first session includes a consultation and examination by a doctor. For patients undergoing treatment for cancer, necessary tests may be performed. The dosage depends on the purpose of the treatment. In the case of cancer treatment, the dosage is increased to an effective dosage based on the blood concentration. The interval between doses also depends on the purpose and medical condition. For cancer treatment, it is given two to three times a week.
For cosmetic purposes, this will be about 2-4 times a month. In order to give the infusion immediately after it is made, please call us before coming to the clinic so that we can prepare the infusion in advance. After the first visit, you can start the infusion immediately after your visit without any special preparation.
Depending on the stage and condition of cancer, a highly concentrated vitamin C solution containing 25 grams or more of vitamin C is made, and this will be infused over approximately one hour.
Initially, the treatment will be given through IV infusion twice a week, and the dosage will be adjusted as the effectiveness of the infusion is confirmed.
In the U.S., it has already been reported that high-concentration vitamin C treatment is effective in treating breast cancer, prostate cancer, rectal cancer, lung cancer, malignant lymphoma, colon cancer, pancreatic cancer, ovarian cancer, bladder cancer, kidney cancer, uterine cancer, and other types of cancer.
It is also effective in improving allergies, viral diseases, and whitening and beautifying the skin.
By blocking tyrosinase, an enzyme that produces melanin, and preventing the production of melanin pigment, it improves and prevents blemishes and lightens the skin.
The main action of vitamin C is as a “coenzyme” that helps certain enzymes.
In particular, it helps the enzymes that help synthesize collagen. Collagen is the main component of connective tissue, a three-net-like fiber that makes up the supporting tissues of tendons, bones, skin, blood vessel walls, and various internal organs.
Most animals can make vitamin C from glucose, but humans have lost this ability and cannot make vitamin C in their bodies. When vitamin C is deficient, collagen assimilation does not progress, and the patient develops various symptoms of scurvy, such as wobbly teeth, fragile blood vessels, bleeding from the skin, poor recovery from injuries and immune dysfunction, and mild anemia.
Scurvy is a disease in which blood vessels become brittle, causing bleeding from the gums and internal organs which eventually can lead to death. Similarly, it affects collagen-rich bones.
When collagen production is promoted due to the abundance of vitamin C, it is effective in improving skin elasticity, wrinkles, sagging, and preventing skin aging.
It suppresses excessive sebum secretion and prevents the formation of acne. Suppressing the function of sebaceous glands, also has the effect of tightening pores.
Reactive oxygen species (free radicals) produced by ultraviolet rays are one of the major causes of aging. Vitamin C’s strong antioxidant power removes reactive oxygen species, and acts on many physiological functions and at the genetic level to extend cell life and slow skin aging.
When humans feel stress, they produce anti-stress hormones to counteract it, and vitamin C is necessary for this process.
Vitamin C is also necessary for protein synthesis and acts as a co-factor in the production of interferon from proteins.
Among the three types of interferon, gamma interferon is also important in maintaining immune function by enhancing the activity of NK cells (natural killer cells: cells that prey on bacteria, viruses, and cells damaged by cancer, AIDS, etc.).
It is also believed to strengthen the function of white blood cells that fight viruses, making it less likely for people to catch colds while speeding up recovery from colds.
Increased blood cholesterol leads to more arteriosclerosis, making it easier to develop cerebral thrombosis, angina pectoris, and myocardial infarction.
Vitamin C has been proven to convert excess cholesterol into bile acids and expel them externally.
Vitamin C has this excellent benefit.
Normally, when taken orally, water-soluble vitamins such as vitamin C are excreted through the urine without much increase in blood concentration, regardless of the amount of vitamin C taken. When injected directly into blood vessels, vitamin C ingested into the body has a variety of beneficial effects.
